THE PEACEFUL PUP (thepeacefulpup.com) is a premium pet care company that screens and matches qualified, experienced professional pet care providers with our growing client base in the Ojai Valley. Pet Care Professionals contracted by The Peaceful Pup travel to our clients’ homes to perform the pet sitting duties and dog walking services outlined by our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Pet Sitting: Visit our clients’ homes 1-4 times per day (morning, mid day, dinner, and evening) to walk, feed and care for their pet/s while they travel.
2. Dog Walking: Visit our client’s homes 1-2 times per day to walk dogs while their pawrents are away.
3. Home Care: Visit our clients’ homes 1 – 2 times per day to check mail, open/close window coverings, water plants/garden, turn on/off lights to create a “lived in” appearance.

Requirements | Applicants Must:

• Live in our service area: Ojai 93023 & Oak View 93022. Please note: Ventura, Santa Paula, Oxnard, and Carpinteria ARE NOT in our service area.
• Be willing to undergo a background check or provide a current one to The Peaceful Pup.
• Be excellent at following clients’ detailed instructions.
• Be tidy (keeping work areas clean, washing pet dishes, tidying litter boxes and surrounding areas, and keeping yards free of pet waste).
• Be able to work and commute in all types of weather. This is an active position that requires hours of energy, even on rainy, cold, or hot days. (Note: we do not do full dog walks when temp. is higher than 80F or during heavy rains/lightning but instead do a potty break and then play indoors or in the shade.)
• Have access to a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a smartphone.
• Be 100% reliable.
• Have the ability to communicate kindly and effectively with The Peaceful Pup office, fellow team members, and clients, by returning emails, phone calls, and text messages promptly.
• Be able to provide professional references.

Pay: $20 – $27/hour (based on services provided)
